Travel Day to Tetonia, Idaho Mountain View Lodge RV Park

August 5, 2011, Brigham City Utah to Tetonia, Idaho and Teton Mountain View Lodge RV Park.
We got a relatively late start today. We were kinda pinned in at our site until the camper next to us moved. It worked out fine anyway and we hit the road about 10:00. We were headed to Tetonia, Idaho just north of Driggs, Idaho. From here we hope to visit the Grand Tetons National Park.

It wasn't long before we were crossing the border into Idaho, a state we've never visited.
Once we turned onto Idaho Hwy. 33 we could see the Grand Tetons in the distance.

Joyce took the pictures below of our rig as she followed behind me in the Jeep.

We arrived without incident at Teton Mountain View Lodge with temps in the mid 70's. Lows are expected to be in the 40's!
We got set up in site 19. It's a nice small campground with full hook-ups, and weak WiFi. Dirt roads and gravel side by side pull-thrus.
We are paying $140 for the week with our Passport America discount.

We have a view of the Tetons from the RV Park, just not from our site.
Grand Tetons in the distance.
Zoomed in..
We are hoping that the cooler weather here will mean that we won't need to run our noisy unreliable main air conditioner, It's a Carrier and they no longer make RV air conditioners. Finding parts is next to impossible. So, a full replacement may be on the agenda when we can fit it in...or when someone can fit us in.  Right now we don't have time for it...we've got The Grand Tetons on our agenda!

A bit of sad news:
We learned after arriving that a very good personal and family friend, Mr. Jesse Moss of Dunedin, Florida passed away this week. Mr. Moss was in his late 80's. I had worked for him painting houses when I was in High School and Jr. College. He was a wonderful man and an adult mentor to me.  I had last spoken to him just a few months ago. He was adored by his family whom were present at his passing.
