We woke to light rain as a welcomed cool front was passing through. I got a call from Guadalupe River RV Resort and I was told they had a spot available for us to attend the Carriage Club 2010 Texas National Rally. As you may recall, we had a site reserved at Buckhorn Lake RV Resort. However after considering it, we felt it would be more convenient and we would be able to network more effectively if we stayed at the host park. So, we accepted the site at Guadalupe River RV Resort and cancelled our reservation at Buckhorn. We are looking forward to attending the Carriage Travel Club Rally.
We spent the rest of the day at home. Joyce got caught up on the laundry and I took advantage of the rain to wash off the car and truck. Twice actually as it rained after I cleaned them off the first time! By early afternoon it had stopped raining and the skies cleared.
About 3:30 we went out for an early dinner to the Flores Mexican Restaurant outside of Dripping Springs.
The restaurant is beautifully decorated inside. This is the entrance hall flanked by a bar on the right and the dining room on the left.
The kitchen at the end of the hall above where they were making their own tortillas.
I had to start with a taco to set the barometer for judging the food/restaurant! I gotta tell ya, the taco was very good!
We both ordered the enchiladas. I ordered the beef with verde (tomatillo) sauce. Joyce ordered chicken with molle sauce. She said it was the best molle she's had. The beans were excellent and the salsa was indeed hot, but tasty!
We had a wonderful dinner and the service was very good as well. If you are ever in the Austin area, I would recommend the Flores Mexican Restaurants family owned in and around Austin.
